Installed on my XP (Service Pack3) system yesterday.

It started crashing almost immediately.
Began going through the "Getting Started" PDF and switching (alt-tab)
back 'n forth between PDF and SEO seemed to cause crash.

Turned off the 'AutoSave when Switching' setting.
But, that wasn't the cause.

Then, while simply experimenting with various features of SEO,
attempted to Minimize app - crashed!

I am extremely disappointed in this because it seemed that this
was perhaps the app I've been looking for.
I want to be able to keep the app in the Tray and call up on
demand, which SEO seems to offer. But not if it's going to crash
intermittently.

I've been working for quite some time with NoteTab Std and it is
very stable. Loses connection with ClipBoard off 'n on; not sure
what's causing that.

Have evaluated TreePad Business Edition, myBase, and Wikidpad.
Each seems to run very reliably, but are not quite what I'm looking for.
Point is, almost all freeware/shareware I've run on this PC is
very stable.

Let me know what I can provide that would help deduce
what is causing this. Otherwise, I'm going to be forced to
abandon this app as a tool.

Thank you,
weg

I feel your pain. It's very frustrating to think you've found the perfect program to fit your needs only to find that nothing works, or at least it doesn't work consistently.

I tried Seo Note last fall because it looked like it was the best choice to meet my needs, unfortunately files kept disappearing, seonote would crash or just freeze if I imported a file, and I couldn't get it to let me view or edit files on a regular basis. I have bug/support requests still sitting there from last October with no resolution. I eventually gave up and tried RightNote. It's not free but it does everything Seo Note is supposed to do and they have great support.

My best advice is to try something else. I've still got an SEO Note file on my desktop because I was hoping that they would fix some of the bugs so I didn't have to recreate it in the other program. It's been five months, it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Good Luck!
